How We Research
Home Mill Guide helps home bakers choose a mill and bake with fresh flour using sources they can check.
How content is made
Pages are written with AI assistance and checked against the sources they cite. We use makers' spec pages, university extension publications and published baking references. Every tool names where its numbers come from.
What we have not done
We have not hands-on tested the mills on this site. There are no star ratings or "tested" badges here, because they would not be true. When we test something ourselves, the page will say so plainly and show the results.
When sources run out
If we cannot find a trustworthy figure, we say so rather than guess. If a maker's site was unreachable, the table marks that row as retailer data.
Corrections
Specs and prices change. Each page shows its last update, and we recheck makers' pages regularly. Prices shown are makers' list prices on the stated date, and they are not Amazon prices.
